Restoration and maintenance of the church is funded by many wonderful donors, collections at our four Giving services, wedding fees, and tour groups. We have also received grants through the Steuben County Community Foundation. With your generous help the church will continue to be a historic treasure for our children and grandchildren.
After 143 years of standing tall in all types of weather and abuse by woodpeckers, bats and other creatures the bell tower and steeple structure is badly in need of repair. This work is critical because of water damage to the bell tower, but also because of potential damage to the rest of the building that is structurally attached to the bell tower. We have received two matching grants to help fund this project. One is from the Jeffris Family Foundation for $32,000, and one is from the Indiana DNR Division of Historic Preservation for $25,000. Thanks to many people and organizations, we have met the match for the Indiana DNR grant. We still need $9,000 to complete the match for the Jeffris grant. Your donation can help make this possible.
